About this service
Although NHCT can no longer offer emergency financial assistance, we can help in many other ways. We complete applications for the Hydro One Low-Income Energy Assistance Program which pays up to $500.00 of the amount owing on your hydro bill and up to $600.00 if your home is electrically heated. This is a one-time emergency payment only. The Staff at NHCT is very knowledgeable and if we are unable to provide you with assistance, we will be able to refer you to other local services that may be able to help. If you are unsure of what local services are available to you, please come in and see us, and we will do everything we can to help you.
