About this service
The Addictions Treatment Services at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in Hastings Prince Edward (HPE) region are designed to offer a variety of help for individuals dealing with substance use concerns. Services include community counseling/treatment, staged screening, assessment and treatment planning, referrals for peer support, withdrawal management, residential treatment services, lifestyle and personal counseling, and structured relapse prevention. They also offer the Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH) Program that is focused on reducing the frequency of readmissions to addiction programs, increasing housing stability for people with problematic substance abuse who are homeless, and reducing pressures on the emergency care and acute care system. It is structured to be responsive to the unique needs of individuals and the relapsing nature of their substance use problem, with the specifics of the housing support being integrated into the community.
