Privacy on navigi.ca
This page covers the directory pages on navigi.ca (the community, category, listing and organization pages, and the pages linked from them) and the three forms an organization can use: "Claim this listing", "Book a meeting" and "Report a change". HelpSeeker's general Privacy Policy covers HelpSeeker's other products and the marketing pages on this domain, which have their own cookie settings. Where the two differ, this page is the more specific and applies to the pages it names.
If you are looking for help
You do not need an account, a sign-in or a name to use the directory. The directory pages set no cookies. No third-party analytics or advertising code runs on them.
When a page is viewed, or a phone number or email link on a listing is used, a small piece of code we run ourselves records four things: the kind of event, the page or listing it happened on, the hour it happened, and whether the visit came from a search engine, an AI assistant or a direct link.
It does not record what you searched for. It does not store your IP address or a device identifier, or which site you came from beyond a broad category. It sets no cookie, so two visits from the same person are two unrelated events to us. The time we record for each event is truncated to the hour, so no event carries a minute. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we honour it and record nothing.
We use these counts to see which communities and listings are being used, so that we verify the right listings first, and to report use in totals, never per person.
Our pages are delivered by Cloudflare, a content delivery network, which means a copy of each page is served from a server near you and Cloudflare handles the connection details needed to do that, in the same way any web host does. The site's files are stored in Microsoft Azure's Canada Central region, in Canada.
When you call or email an organization, or open its website, you leave this site and that organization's own practices apply. Search engines and AI assistants that bring you here have their own privacy terms; we receive nothing from them beyond the fact that a visit was referred.
The safety page explains what Quick exit does and how to clear your browsing history.
If you represent an organization
Claim this listing and Book a meeting. These forms ask for your name, your role, a work email address, a phone number, the name of your organization and a message. We collect these details for two purposes only: to verify that you speak for the organization whose listing you are claiming, and to answer your request. We keep them in HelpSeeker's own systems, including the customer relationship system our team uses to follow up with organizations. We keep them for 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with anyone for their own marketing.
Report a change. This form asks for no name and no role. An email address is optional. If you give one, we use it only to reply about that report, and we keep it for the same 24 months. Reports are never added to any customer or sales list.
Your rights. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@helpseeker.org. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your details does not remove your organization's public listing; that is a separate request, which any organization can also make.
The law that applies

The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies to how we handle personal information, and provincial privacy laws may also apply depending on where you are. This page is written to be clearer than the law requires, not to replace it.
