About Navigi
What Navigi is, where it came from, why it is free for everyone for good, and how HelpSeeker Technologies pays for it.
navigi.ca is a free directory of community services across Canada, published by HelpSeeker Technologies. It lists 106,601 services and organizations, with a page for every community in Canada outside the First Nations communities our data policy sets aside, whatever its size: 4,115 community pages, 1,893 of them with services listed so far, and every listing says when it was last verified.
Free for everyone, for good
There is no paywall and there will not be one. There are no advertisements. No organization pays to be listed, and no listing can be bought a better place in the results. This site sets no cookies and records nothing about the people who use it. None of that changes.
How we pay for it
HelpSeeker Technologies is a social enterprise. The revenue from our other products and services, the case management, analytics and planning tools we build for governments and community organizations, pays for Navigi. The people who use this site and the organizations listed on it never carry its costs.
Why we do this
We build technology for good. The social safety net of tomorrow will be found, used and kept current through software, and that software has to serve people and communities rather than the other way around. Navigi is the part of that work that belongs to everyone.
Who we are
HelpSeeker Technologies is a Canadian company. Our team works with governments, funders and community organizations across the country, and everything we learn from that work goes back into this directory.
Hold us to it
Read the Navigi standard, the seven commitments we make to every person who uses this site, and about the data for where every listing comes from. If you run a service, claim your listing and keep it accurate. If something is wrong, every listing has a "Report a change" link.
