About this service
AMHS-HPE-Bancroft is a housing program developed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) for Hastings and Prince Edward (HPE) regions. The program offers various housing-related services, including assistance with finding and securing appropriate, affordable housing, providing rental subsidies, and necessary support for tenancy maintenance. In addition, it also provides a Housing Resource and Coordination service to assist with organizing utilities, liaising with landlords, and providing necessary resources and support for residents. For individuals in crisis who have come into contact with law enforcement, the program collaborates with the Crisis Intervention Centre to provide short-term, residential accommodations, supportive counseling, and assistance with system navigation. The program also operates two group homes providing daily living support, supportive counseling, and assistance with health-related matters among other services.
