About this organization
Hospice North Hastings is a community-based, non-profit organization known for its commitment to providing support for individuals suffering from terminal illnesses or life-threatening conditions, and their families. The organization, originally named North Hastings Palliative Support, was founded by two nurses in 1996 and has since grown to offer a home visiting program, a medical equipment loan cupboard, a lending library, and a residential hospice. The headquarters, referred to as Hospice House, is in Bancroft. Its services and operations are overseen by a board of directors and managed by top-rated staff, including a Director of Hospice Services and a Nurse Palliative Care Manager. The organization is accredited by Hospice Palliative Care Ontario until June 2023.
