About this service
Hospice North Hastings offers various services aiming to support individuals with terminal illnesses and their families. The Home Visiting Program includes trained volunteers who provide spiritual, emotional, and respite care at the comfort of the patient's home. Tasks performed by volunteers could range from reading aloud, companionship to bedside vigilance, all at no charge. The Residential Hospice program provides 24/7 end-of-life care at the Hospice House for North Hastings, the first Rural Residential Hospice in Ontario, encouraging families' involvement while eradicating admission charges. Another service provided is the short-term loan of medical equipment such as walkers or wheelchairs with no fee.
