About this service
Hospice North Hastings is a community-backed organization located in Ontario, providing end-of-life care services to individuals and families in the nearby areas. It offers a home visiting program supported by trained volunteers who provide emotional, spiritual, and respite support for those caring for someone with a terminal illness. Furthermore, it operates a Residential Hospice known as the Hospice House for North Hastings, the first Rural Residential Hospice in Ontario, which offers round-the-clock patient-centric care. It allows families to participate in the care of their loved ones and stay with them at the hospice. It also provides a free medical equipment loan service for temporary use to all local residents. All these services are offered free of charge. The organization is largely funded via community donations and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
