The Built Together program is an initiative that aids Albertans in developing spaces for physical activity in their respective communities. It provides funding through grants of $50,000 each to projects involving active living spaces such as skate parks, playgrounds, outdoor gyms, or sports courts. The application process for these grants falls under a specific set of eligibility and selection criteria. This program operates with the aim of promoting active living and wellness within grassroots communities, focusing on children's welfare. The program, formerly known as the Healthy Communities Grant Program, has supported more than 43 projects throughout Alberta, allocating over $2.15 million in total. Applications are now open for the Built Together program until September 18, 2023.
