AT THE CENTRE THESE SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Helping children with speech delays and disorders to speak more clearly.
  • Improving a childs understanding of language (receptive language)
  • Improving a childs expressive language skills, cognitive-communication skills (reasoning, problem-solving, memory, organization) and pragmatic skills (communicating in social situations).
  • Assisting in the evaluation and selection of an augmentative and alternative communication system (communication board/book, voice synthesizing computer)
  • Consulting with parents and other professionals regarding feeding difficulties.
  • Providing services for children with voice and resonance difficulties (cleft lip and palate)
