About this service

Intervention facilitates the achievement of the childs maximal functional independence by incorporating the following:

  • Exploring the childs environment including the use of mobility equipment such as crutches, walkers, manual or power wheelchairs.
  • Increasing the use of the childs hands to cut, print and play.
  • Improving written communication skills including adaptive equipment such as the use of a computer.
  • Facilitating the performance of independent activities of daily living (i.e., dressing, feeding and community based activities).
  • Enhancing fine motor skills, visual motor skills, perceptual abilities and sensory motor integration to maximize participation at home, school and in the community.
  • Promotion of active participation within the home, school and community.
