About this service
SIRCH - Bumps & Babies is a program for new moms and pregnant women facilitated by SIRCH Community Services in Haliburton County and the City of Kawartha Lakes. It provides support and information about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, nutrition, growth and development, and parenting. Participants can access free food, milk, vegetables, and prenatal vitamins. It meets weekly on Wednesday mornings in Lindsay in the City of Kawartha Lakes, and Thursday mornings in Haliburton. Another program called Way to Grow under Community Action Program For Children (CAPC) is designed for parents with children aged six and under. It provides information on a variety of topics and helps parents learn to cook nutritious food on a budget. It also connects parents with agencies that can assist with various issues. Both programs offer transportation if needed.
