About this service
The MFRCs Occasional Childcare (OCC) program is to provide parents/guardians an occasional break. Occasional is defined as infrequently and irregularly. OCC is not intended to be permanent childcare solution, nor intended to be a substitute for the services provided by a permanent daycare provider. Parents/guardians in need of a permanent childcare solution should seek out such a facility. OCC is a service for children 6 months to 12 years old. OCC is licensed under the Provincial Child Care Program and must meet stringent regulations to ensure safe, quality care. Call ahead as OCC hours are subject to community need.
Registration may be made up to 2 weeks in advance for military families, 1 week in advance for civilian families. Please register by calling 204-833-2500 ext. 2491.
