The Wolverines Wheelchair Sports Association is a community-centered adaptive sports organization originally founded in Grande Prairie in 1990. It began as a wheelchair basketball clinic but quickly expanded to include a junior program and exhibition tournaments. Today, the association offers a variety of adaptive sports programs, such as sledge hockey, boccia ball, and handcycling, as well as services such as an adapted sport awareness program and equipment loan program.
