About this service
The Adapted Sport Awareness Program is an initiative by the Wolverines Wheelchair Association that includes several adapted sports: Wheelchair Basketball, Sledge Hockey, Boccia, and Hand Cycling. These sports programs accommodate both able-bodied and disabled participants, providing necessary equipment and facilities on loan. In addition to organized sports, the program offers the "Get Moving" initiative, featuring diverse activities throughout the summer to promote and showcase the abilities of people with disabilities. The program also includes demonstration bookings to educate groups about the experience of disabilities and the adapted sports on offer. All activities are run in a supportive, inclusive environment with the aim of promoting awareness and acceptance.
