About this service
The GP Wolverines Wheelchair Association runs the Get Moving program, offering adaptive sports such as Wheelchair Basketball, Sledge Hockey, Boccia, and Hand Cycling for individuals with disabilities. The initiative encourages participation, regardless of physical ability, with equipment available to borrow as part of their Equipment Loan Program. Wheelchair Basketball is their longest-running program with opportunities to compete at a developmental level. The Sledge Hockey program also has weekly practices with equipment provided. Boccia games start once or twice a month, and Hand Cycling teams are accepting new members. The organization also runs an awareness program, showcasing the abilities of people with disabilities by bringing wheelchairs and adaptive sports to local schools.
