About this organization

The Grande Prairie Residential Society (GPRS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1986 with the mission of providing accessible and affordable housing for people with physical disabilities in northern Alberta. The organization, which is managed by a volunteer board comprising community members and their supporters, has successfully implemented three major housing projects since its inception, thanks to funding from local, provincial, and federal governments, as well as community organizations, businesses, and individuals. GPRS continues to seek innovative solutions to address the growing need for appropriate housing in the community. The organization also collaborates with The Grande Spirit Foundation for maintenance and management and accepts donations to meet future housing needs.
