Who we are We gather as followers of Jesus Christ meeting on the corner of Avenue O and 29th street, situated on the border between the Westmount and Mount Royal communities. We gather on Treaty 6 land, traditional territory of the Plains Cree, Saulteaux, Dene, and Nakota, and homeland of the Metis Nation. We gather as people with unique stories and gifts to share. Our Christian tradition finds its roots in the 16th century movement called the Radical Reformation (also called Anabaptism). A pivotal text is Jesus Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). It invites us to be good neighbours, to welcome the stranger, to a deeper spirituality of prayer, engaging worship, and practical service. Our Vision God calls us to be followers of Jesus Christ and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to grow as communities of grace, joy and peace, so that Gods healing and hope flow through us to the world.
