Missions and Service The Missions and Service ministry provides leadership and congregational resources for various ad-hoc and ongoing sub-committees, and service groups that are involved with service and ministry to our community, and beyond. CURRENT MISSIONS & SERVICE PROJECTS Princeton April 2022 Mennonite Disaster Service A number of people from the congregation went to Princeton BC to assist with cleanup and reconstruction. Our volunteers joined three groups of volunteers from other churches in Canada on three separate weeks. Here are photos of the volunteers, the projects and the flood damage they witnessed. Friendship Inn - Meal Sponsorship Saturday January 8th - a number of volunteers from MRMC participated in the Meal Sponsorship Program at the Friendship Inn. Our commitment was to support the Inn both financially as well as to serve Breakfast and Lunch. $1750.00 was our target to help offset the cost of about 1000 meals that would be served that day. Thanks to the generosity of many donors, we were able to contribute $3165. This is an ongoing project. Read More Help Global Gathering Place help Refugees Global Gathering Place (GGP) is currently assisting 200 Afghan refugees to resettle in Saskatoon, in addition to a flood of other newcomers from many other places. They are always in need some very basic supplies: Tylenol Warm Mitts, Toques/neck tubes, warm socks Blankets (new or gently used and cleaned) Childrens activity books Cash donations to purchase grocery gift cards or to cover other immediate needs.
