Quebec Civic Sponsorship Center - Volunteer

The CPCQ can count on more than a hundred volunteers to fulfill its mission. Sponsors active at the Center have the opportunity to live an enriching experience in a welcoming and dynamic environment.

By becoming a civic godfather or godmother, you choose to invest yourself personally in a relationship of friendship and mutual assistance with a person with disabilities.

An evaluation of your request is made with a worker from the center shortly after the demonstration of your interest; a meeting of about 1 hour will allow you to get to know the Center better and to express your expectations and your tastes. At this meeting, the worker applies our filtering policy (checking criminal records, checking references, questionnaire) and determines with you what type of people you will be matched with. You will learn about our code of ethics and our basic philosophy which will be explained to you during the interview.
