About this service
The Reconstruction and Empirical Mental Health Intervention Program (PRISME) is a prevention service for schools that aims to promote positive mental health among high school students.
Positive mental health is defined as a state of well-being that enables us to feel, think and act in ways that enhance our ability to enjoy life and deal with the challenges we face.
Unique in the province of Quebec, our ecosystem approach allows students to acquire knowledge, develop specific skills and transform the school environment.
Specific objectives
- Improve the knowledge of young people about mental health and its disorders;
- Develop their personal and social skills promoting their well-being;
- Reduce the risk factors present in their environment;
- Provide a safety net for young people at risk of experiencing a period of psychological distress;
- Provide support to school staff when needed for young people with special needs.
