About this service
In concrete terms, it offers 23 healthy and affordable housing units, at a cost equivalent to 25% of income, to young single mothers living in poverty and who wish to get back into action to improve their living conditions (by returning to school or at work, for example). Tenants can occupy these units for a period of five years or until the age of 30.
While they live at Mres et monde, the residents are accompanied by two workers in their respective journey (life project in the personal, academic, professional and civic spheres) which takes root in a healthy, safe living environment and in a social network made up of young mothers living in a similar life situation.
To be eligible for housing at Mothers and the World, a young mother must:
- be between 16 and 30 years old;
- being a single parent;
- have a low income;
- be ready to commit to a life project.
