About this service
TOWARDS A HOME
The Vers un chez soi project is a group of 8 partner organizations working together to integrate homeless people into housing. Inspired by the turnkey program and in partnership with the Municipal Housing Office, the project offers homeless people rent supplement programs (PSL) that allow them to pay 25% of their income for housing, within this integrated project to reduce homelessness, according to the residential stability approach with support (SRA). A worker is assigned to the person and accompanies him in his integration, but also throughout his first years in housing.
We assessed more than 55 people for this project and placed 15 people in housing through this project. Most joined medical monitoring, increased their social activities or got involved in voluntary activities in order to break their isolation.
