About this service
Zippy's Friends is an innovative, universal school-based mental health promotion program. The central idea of the program is to intervene early in children's lives, in order to equip them by developing a richer repertoire of coping mechanisms and social skills, which will help them better cope with the difficulties they face. they will encounter on a daily basis and those that will present themselves in adolescence and adulthood.
The program is designed for first cycle elementary school students. This comprises six (6) modules, with four (4) sessions per module, which show the problems and challenges experienced by young people on a daily basis.
The implementation of the program is very positive. The children who participated show:
- A significant improvement in their coping skills and social skills (cooperation, autonomy, self-control, empathy, etc.);
- A decrease in certain problematic behaviors (stress, aggressiveness, impulsivity, etc.)
