WHAT IS AEGIS HEALTH?

Aegis Health is an out-patient addictions treatment facility with clinic, pharmacy, counselling and outreach. At Aegis Health, our multi-disciplinary team of practitioners specialize in the treatment of addictions of all kinds. We provide a team-based approach to patient care with an emphasis on respect, encouragement and best practices.

The Greek word Aegis, pronounced [jis] means divine shield. It is also defined as the protection, backing, or support of a particular person or organization.

Our mission is to be a symbolic shield for our patients, protecting them from harm and supporting them through their courageous journey to recovery.

Addictions is a disease of the mind and body. Unfortunately, this is not widely understood and addictions patients are often marginalized when they should be supported.

Our mission is not only to help the individual patient, but also to eradicate the misappropriated public stigma that exists around them.
