The Kids' Safety Village of Durham Region is a kid-sized version of a real town located in Whitby. Set on 1.2 acres, the Village features small buildings, detailed roadways, real traffic lights and road signs, an operational railway crossing, pedal cars, scooters, bicycles and two full classrooms (one for personal and road safety training, and the other one for fire safety training).
The Kids Safety Village of Durham Region is committed to providing quality progressive safety programs, in a positive and interactive atmosphere, through community partnerships, to protect our most valuable resource our children.
