About this service
Michael Garron Hospitals (MGH) Mental Health Day Treatment Program is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team and offers time-limited group treatment. Clients attend the program five days a week from Monday to Friday. The expected length of stay in the program is four months. Following discharge, clients may attend a weekly support group (one hour) for eight weeks.
This therapeutic community strives to foster a sense of belonging, acceptance and tolerance by encouraging clients to actively participate in their treatment recovery. There is also a strong emphasis on individual goal setting and symptom management. A referral is required.
