About this organization

The Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic provides legal, counselling, and interpretation services to marginalized and racialized women and gender-diverse individuals who have survived violence. The clinic offers trauma-informed support, legal representation in family, immigration, criminal, and sexual assault law, and multilingual interpretation services, including video remote interpreting for Deaf individuals. Through advocacy and law reform efforts, the clinic works to advance the rights of survivors and drive systemic change. Since its founding in 1985, it has supported over 100,000 survivors in navigating complex legal and personal challenges.
