About this service
The program works to increase the capacity of PHAs to improve their own health and quality of life. The program also recognizes how challenging disclosure can be and the importance of privacy and confidentiality about ones HIV status in Torontos Black community.
The Support Program provides the following services:
- One on-one counseling and support around HIV/AIDs related issues
- Providing referrals and follow-up within the agency and other community agencies for legal, housing ,employment, immigration, pre-natal and health services, and appropriate long-term counseling
- Client accompaniments to appointments, hospital and home visits
- Childcare and emergency financial assistance are provided to those clients who qualify Monthly groups and workshops
