About this service
SIRCH Community Services offers the Basics of Carpentry program, a gateway for entry-level training and employment in a variety of areas, including carpentry. The program, created in partnership with Fleming Crew, aids in finding placements and employment for its students. The students execute projects such as building a Bunkie and a shed, which are auctioned off to raise funds for SIRCH. The program, offered from February to May, also provides transportation assistance to participants who do not have their own means of transport, thanks to a collaboration between SIRCH, Fleming Crew, City of Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton County.
