About this service
The AMHS - HPE - Madoc - Residential Addictions Treatment Program, operated by CMHA Hastings Prince Edward, offers intense, structured treatment for individuals aged 21 and older dealing with severe addiction problems. The Residential Treatment Program, based on a harm reduction model, runs on a 12-day cycle and includes educational sessions, discussion groups, and other structured activities designed to help participants understand their addiction, develop coping strategies, and replace harmful behaviors with healthier alternatives. Additionally, the program provides a six-week After Care component for post-treatment support. A Day-Use Addictions Treatment Program is also available, offering the same programming as the residential program, but allowing participants to return home each night. Both programs make use of individual sessions to focus on treatment goals and progress.
