Addictions Treatment Services by CMHA HPE (Canadian Mental Health Association Hastings Prince Edward) offers support services for individuals dealing with substance use issues. Through offering direct client services, they aim to enhance health, social outcomes, and the quality of life. Their services include community counseling/treatment, referral resources, case management, brief intervention, lifestyle and personal counseling, and structured relapse prevention which are free, confidential, and available regardless of the individual's stage of change or treatment goals. Also, they offer Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH) Program funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care since March 2008, for individuals battling addictions who face housing instability, homelessness, or inadequate housing. ASH program includes securing and maintaining a stable housing environment, case management, and supportive counseling and services. The goal is to reduce the pressures on emergency and acute care systems while increasing housing stability and reducing readmissions to addiction programs. Referrals can be made via their central intake.
