About this service
The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Hastings Prince Edward (HPE) provides support for those struggling with problem gambling in Hastings and Prince Edward County. This service was initiated after it was identified that a significant proportion of the population could develop gambling problems as gambling venues expanded across Ontario. The service provides initial and ongoing assessment, treatment planning, case management, lifestyle and personal counseling, relapse prevention, family intervention, follow-up and aftercare, and outreach activities with the goal of aiding individuals to manage gambling and related issues. CMHA HPE also promotes health and educates the community about the impact of problem gambling on individuals and communities. Services can be accessed directly or through a central intake, including by those concerned about someone else's gambling.
