About this service

Our Food Access Program is centred around the F A N S philosophy which seeks to provide our members with Fresh Affordable Nutritious Seasonal food.

Access to nourishing food that is sourced and produced locally not only supports the health of our members, but also the health our community by limiting the environmental impact of food travelling from far off places and supporting our hard working producers and farmers. By promoting the F A N S philosophy in all of our food access programing we hope to enhance local food security.

As a Good Food Organization, we seek to foster food literacy and skills, support fair and sustainable food systems, and provide our members with nourishing food that meets their dietary and cultural needs. With these principles in mind, our market style food pantry enables our members to shop for the items they need most, limiting food waste and restoring dignity and choice to the process.
