About this service
The Belleville Community Policing Volunteer Program, offered by the Belleville Police Service, invites dedicated individuals to create a dynamic partnership between the police service and Belleville's citizens. Volunteers participate in various community and police-based events and contribute to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in Belleville. Besides giving back to the community, volunteers also acquire valuable communication, observation, and teamwork skills, and establish strong friendships. The program also serves as an excellent springboard for potential police officers. The basic requirements to become a volunteer include being at least 18 years old, submitting an application form and current resume, providing two contactable references, undergoing an in-person interview, providing a photo ID, and passing a security clearance. Recruitment for new volunteers is planned for September 2023.
