Bancroft Community Family Health - Billa Street is a healthcare initiative that was founded in 2006 by Dr. Greg Cooper and Dr. Carolyn Brown. It is a registered charity that provides disease prevention and patient education through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. The health team is made up of healthcare providers and residents from Hastings County, and they focus on maintaining a direct connection with the community. The team offers various services from ER, Chief of Staff, coroner, and long-term care services to rural health, LHIN, and hospital committee participation. They also provide and develop educational resources, health promotion events, chronic disease management programs, and specialist clinics. The facility has continually expanded over the years to accommodate an ever-growing roster of patients and physicians. In 2019, it amalgamated with the North Hastings Family Health Team to form the Bancroft Community Family Health Team. Currently, they operate out of locations at 19 Oak Street, 16 Billa Street, and 1 Manor Lane.
