About this service
Village Vancouver is Vancouver's Transition Town Hub. Utilizing a community resilience based approach, we collaborate with numerous community partners (e.g. community members, Neighbourhood Houses, community centres, public libraries, universities, community gardens, civil society organizations, Vancouver Parks Board, City of Vancouver, and other Neighbourhood Food Networks) and engage in over 300 celebratory, educational, and hands-on food and community building activities, workshops, and projects a year throughout the city. We help individuals, neighbourhoods, and organizations take actions which help build capacity for more just, resilient, and sustainable communities and local food systems.
