About this service
Outreach Services for Women are provided in the Williams Lake area to women whose lives have been affected by violence and abuse, those who are thinking of leaving an abusive relationship or those who have already left and need help finding and using community supports.
The program works with women to develop a safety plan and supports them in the development of their transition to become free of abuse. Women involved with the program have access to individual and/or group support, assistance finding safe and affordable housing, accompaniment and advocacy for appointments related to services for women experiencing abuse, violence, or threats, assistance with medical emergencies, access to legal and social services.
