About this service
The community-based Withdrawal Management Program provides a holistic first step towards addiction recovery. Offered to adults in two locations: Williams Lake and Castlegar BC, this program utilizes a person-centred approach to meet the specific needs of each patient in a safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgemental environment.
Patients are referred to the program by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner within the Interior Health Authority region. Included in the referral is a medical assessment to determine physical and psychiatric suitability for the program. Generally, patients remain in care for three to five days, however, the length of stay can vary depending on the unique needs of the individual.
