About this service
Employment counselling and related services have been available for all residents in the qathet region seeking sustainable and meaningful employment, including recipients of income assistance and employment insurance benefits.
Lift operates the local WorkBC Employment Services Centre on behalf of the province.
- This provincial program provides a range of employment assistance services for both job seekers and employers; sub-contracts to other agencies for specialized employment services including self-employment; and administers employment supports for eligible clients.
- The Wage Subsidy program provides wage reimbursements to employers who hire eligible applicants.
- Employers are assisted in developing training plans for TWS employees and ensuring successful completion.
- We also partner with ACCESS to offer the Bladerunners program that offers career and employment explorations for youth at risk of not entering the workforce without substantial support.
