About this service
Child and Youth Resource Unit Officers have a unique role to play between students, parents, and teachers. We intervene when students are at risk, we encourage students to be good citizens both in person and online, and we work to make ensure students learn in a safe environment. Officers also educate youth on safety issues, foster positive relationships between youth and police, increase awareness among youth of their responsibility to the community, and provide them with the knowledge and confidence needed to make safe and responsible choices.
