About this service
It has been the pleasure of the BC Chapter to provide spring, summer and winter Intervention programs to the families in our province. This program is offered through the generous support of the Ministry of Children and Family Development of the Provincial Government. These programs provide services that allow children and youth who are deafblind from the ages five to nineteen. Intervention allows them to interact more fully with their environment.
The programs help to maintain skills acquired during the school year and ensure that participants continue to utilize and practice their communication and social skills. Our programs runs during school-breaks (spring, summer and winter). The families hire intervenors, and these intervenors are trained through a deafblind specialist working with the CDBA-BC Chapter.

Children and youth who are deafblind from the ages five to nineteen
