About this service

Behaviour Support Plans help individuals improve their quality of life by addressing behaviours that get in the way of day-to-day success, happiness, and community involvement. The goal of any plan is to take behaviours that are not productive and replace them with positive social skills. Behaviour Specialists help to do this by exploring the individuals environment, lifestyle, values, interests, culture, spirituality, sources of joy, strengths, goals, and behaviour choices. This information is gathered from the individual, his or her caregivers, and other support professionals who spend time with the individual. Behaviour Specialists also review reports and documents related to the individuals health, wellness, and behaviour. The individual and his or her caregivers will also be able to meet with the Behaviour Specialist to review progress or make changes to the plan.
