About this service
Community Residential Emergency Short Stay and Treatment Provides support and treatment to males and females 19+ who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The maximum stay is 14 days. Clients must voluntarily accept admission and be able to care for their own basic physical and personal needs with minimal assistance from staff. Ineligible if behaviour is uncontrolled or destructive, are in an alcohol or drug intoxicated state, or have dementia with no expectation for a positive treatment outcome. Referrals can be made through Mental Health Centre clinicians, MSA and Chilliwack Inpatient psychiatric units, Fraser East Emergency Mental Health Services, and Fraser East psychiatrists, physicians and general practitioners.
