About this service

The Abbotsford Drug War Survivors first started meeting at Archway Community Services on a bi-monthly basis in 2009. Since then, they have taken on the City's anti-harm reduction bylaw, and it's bylaws against allowing unsheltered people to camp in public parks... causing those bylaws to be rescinded or revised through public and legal pressure (including winning a landmark ruling from the BC Supreme Court in 2015). With the advent of the Opioid Overdose Public Health Emergency in 2016, they received funding from the Fraser Health Authority to develop and organize themselves further.
