Hamper Request Procedure
Step 1
-Call the hamper request line during operation hours to speak to an intake worker.
-Please be patient with our hamper request line operators as the phone lines are often busy.
-Be prepared. We may ask some personal questions like your household income or how many people live in your household.
-The Red Deer Food Bank determines the need for a hamper on a case by case basis.
-You must call ahead and book a hamper before picking up
Step 2
-Once you are approved and a hamper pick up time is given to you by our intake workers, you will pick up at the specified time at our warehouse.
-Please remember to bring your photo i.d., proof of income and proof of address when you come to pick up your hamper. For children, please bring along their Alberta Health Care card or birth certificate.
