About this organization

The Red Deer Food Bank has been serving the Red Deer region since 1984.

Our mission: To provide emergency food requirements for those in need in Red Deer and the surrounding area.

Our vision: Working together in Central Alberta - Sharing food with people in need.

Many think that the food donated to the food bank only goes into food hampers. It is true the Red Deer Food Bank, with your help, fed over 38,000 people in 2016. Approximately half of them were children and the average age was eight years old. With that being said, the food bank also provides food to other agencies right here in Red Deer. Agencies such as the Boy's and Girl's Club, The Mustard Seed, Potter's Hands, Women's Outreach, co-op kitchens, the Salvation Army and many more.
