About this service

We are a peer based support and advocacy group for individuals with a history of hard drug use and street involvement. We practice harm reduction, abstinence is not a requirement for membership. Our members meet to build the capacity of people who use drugs so that their voices can be heard and their lives improved. Members actively contribute to their community through volunteer opportunities and education presentations on their lived experiences.

These are the general guidelines that we as a group follow at our meetings:

  • We do invite active and former users
  • We do provide an honorarium
  • We do ask you what you need
  • We do protect confidentiality
  • We are flexible
  • Dont be afraid to ask
  • We don't assume that there is a problem
  • We dont require disclosure of health status
  • We invite everyone
  • We never give up on each other
