About this service
Special Transit is a specialized, shared-ride, curb-to-curb transportation service for persons with disabilities who qualify through a functional assessment and have registered with Medicine Hat Transit. Only registered users may book trips, however this program is available for anyone who, due to a physical and/or cognitive disability, cannot use the regular transit service.
Please note, certain COVID-19 protocols are still in effect on Medicine Hat Transit buses. Tickets and transfers are no longer available, and face masks are to be worn at all times until further notice. Additional cleaning measures on buses and at the downtown Transit Terminal also remain in place.
