About this service

In addition to the Social Housing Programs offered by the Medicine Hat Community Housing Society, we also provide support services aimed at supporting those who may be experiencing housing instability, homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless.

The Housing Link program determines eligibility for the Housing First (H1st) program and Rapid Resolution (RR) supports.

Dependent on eligibility, housing loss prevention financial and/or non-financial supports may be provided for individuals assessed and eligible for program, but who are choosing to access supports independent of H1st or RR programs.

Transition & Discharge Planning (T&DP) support is also provided through Housing Link for homeless individuals being discharged from a care facility (hospital, treatment, corrections).

Housing Link is a centralized intake and assessment service based on best practice, ensuring appropriate referrals to programs and needed supports through effective participant screening.
